Safety Specialist
Supports the Site-Specific Safety Plan (SSSP) and ensures compliance with safety regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct safety inspections and incident investigations.
- Train employees on OSHA regulations and safe work practices.
- Maintain compliance with site-specific safety standards.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- OSHA 30, 500, and 510 certifications
- A degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or a related field of study is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction safety and current Federal and OSHA requirements.
- Certification as a Safety Professional or Emergency Medical Technician.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Detail-oriented with effective organization and coordination skills
- Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies
- Strong work ethic - Willing to do what it takes to get the job done
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments
