QUALIFICATIONS
The In-Room Dining Assistant Manager will support the efficient and smooth operation of our in-room dining operation. They will assist in leading the team hands on, ensuring exceptional guest service, and maintaining high-quality standards.
This position has an annual compensation rate of $80,000.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in managing all aspects of the in-room dining service, including order taking, food preparation, delivery, and guest satisfaction, within all the areas that in-room dining service is responsible for, including and not limited to guest’s hotel suites, spa, residences, and others.
- Collaborate with the In-Room Dining Manager to develop and implement strategies for improving service quality and efficiency.
- Train, mentor, and supervise in-room dining staff, ensuring they adhere to service standards, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure timely and accurate order delivery, maintaining strong communication with the kitchen and other relevant departments.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally.
- Monitor and control inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels while minimizing waste and spoilage.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience, including coordination with housekeeping, front desk, and kitchen employees.
- Coordinate and lead to perfect execution and delivery, the amenities and mini-bar program of the property between all departments involved, keep accurate track of all requests in line with company standards and guests’ requests.
- Ensure that the employee cafeteria is kept clean and organized at all times throughout the shifts.
- Assist in managing all aspects of compliance to DOH requirements of the in-room dining department.
- Assist in conducting regular performance evaluations for in-room dining team members.
- Stay updated on industry trends and recommend innovative ideas to enhance the in-room dining service.
- Conduct daily pre-shift communication meetings.
- Generate a positive and encouraging atmosphere while maintaining a great sense of accountability.
- All other responsibilities assigned by Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant managerial role in the food and beverage industry, preferably in room service, in-room dining or private dining.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including order taking, food preparation, and delivery procedures.
- Flexible schedule, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests, team members, and other departments.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations with composure.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and relevant software, Micros and Digivalet, is highly desired.
- Ability to maintain a clean and professional appearance as per company policies.
- Ability to carry, push, and pull heavy loads up to 45 lbs; standing, bending and lifting will be required.
- Sensitive to cultural nuances.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal on English.
- Very high attention to detail.
- Be a self-motivator and motivator of others.
- Ability to work together with other colleagues.
- Multi-lingual is a plus.
- TIPS and ServSafe Certified.
Salary : $75,000 - $80,000
