Human Resources Generalist
Job Summary: The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for supporting the HR function at Amano McGann. This includes recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, managing leave of absence programs, employee training, development and engagement initiatives, overseeing worker’s compensation, providing support for performance management, documenting and enforcing company policies and procedures, and supporting payroll and benefits administration.
Reports to: Director of Human Resources
Direct Reports: None
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance to employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and employee relations issues
- Assist in optimizing recruiting efforts for AMI. Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings and participate in the recruiting, interviewing and onboarding process.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and promote a positive work environment
- Coordinate and support employee training initiatives
- Help facilitate the performance management process, including annual performance reviews, feedback and development plans
- Maintain employment related records ensuring that information is up to date and in compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations
- Handle sensitive employee data maintaining confidentiality
- Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a fair and timely manner
- Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and promote best practices
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Two years’ human resource experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, SHRM-CP or related education/experience
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
