What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rehabilitation Specialist position at Amazing Spine Care?
As a Rehabilitation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the rehabilitation and recovery of patients under the supervision of a Chiropractic Physician . Your primary responsibility is to assist in implementing therapeutic treatment plans to patients who have been involved in auto accidents, slip and falls, sports trauma, neck pain, back pain and extremity conditions.
- Assist in patient intake and preparation: Greet patients, help them complete necessary paperwork, and ensure that treatment areas are clean and organized.
- Aid in therapeutic exercises: Guide patients through prescribed exercises, providing verbal cues and physical assistance as needed to ensure proper form and technique.
- Support with modalities: Assist in the application of heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and other therapeutic modalities under the direction of the chiropractic physician.
- Monitor patient progress: Observe and document patients' responses to treatment, including their range of motion, pain levels, and overall improvement.
- Maintain equipment and supplies: Keep therapy equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition. Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth treatment sessions.
- Ensure patient safety: Supervise patients during exercises and activities to prevent falls or injuries. Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
- Provide encouragement and motivation: Offer positive reinforcement and support to patients as they progress through their rehabilitation journey.
- Collaborate with the therapy team: Communicate effectively with chiropractic physicians and chiropractic assistants to coordinate patient care and treatment plans.
- Assist with administrative tasks: Schedule appointments, answer phone calls, and handle other clerical duties as required to support the smooth operation of the rehabilitation facility.
- Uphold professional standards: Adhere to ethical and legal guidelines, maintain patient confidentiality, and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Ensure a positive patient experience: Create a welcoming and supportive environment for patients, addressing their concerns and providing assistance with empathy and compassion.

Requirements:
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to physical therapy practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and service.
- Familiarity with physiology, particularly as it relates to rehabilitation and recovery.
- Experience or knowledge in inpatient settings, acute care, orthopedics, or geriatrics is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a clinical environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and protocols within the clinic.
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus but not required
- Physical Therapy experience preferred.
- Hours : 9am-7pm M-F. One Saturday 9am-2pm
