Job summary The AWS transportation team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain/Logistics Coordinator in Florence KY to manage the day to day transportation operations for the fastest growing industries in the world while working on projects to further enhance our operation. This is an exciting opportunity to join an energetic and driven team. An ideal candidate has a background in transportation and excellent data driven problem resolution skills. They have the ability to work with external partners/influence others, pull and analyze data with ease, drive process improvements, standardize processes, and eliminate the root cause of defects within the current systems. This job will require solid communication skills while having the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment. In this role you will: Engage in daily tactical communication with external vendors (Logistics Service Providers) and internal customers Analyze data from numerous databases (using Excel, SQL and/or other data management systems) and perform reporting and analysis as needed Publish performance metrics to assist with driving business results Quickly and efficiently understand the business impact of observed trends and make decisions based on available data Identify and eliminate root causes of defects in order to drive efficiency in Amazon’s transportation operations Work with multiple stakeholder teams in the Supply Chain to jointly solve problems and implementing standards Work within time constraints to meet critical business needs Participate in large projects as a contributor or lead small projects independently This role might be for you if: · You are passionate about international transportation and domestic transportation · You enjoy working with data to analyze and report complex data sets to drive optimal business decisions. - Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics or related field
- Proficiency in Excel based tools and experience in SQL and Tableau
- 2 years of experience managing relationships with or working for national/global transportation providers
- Proficiency in Lean and Six Sigma supply chain strategies
- Experience in manufacturing, transportation, customer service, and/or distribution environments
- Work experience in the tech/cloud computing sector is an advantage
- Data management & data quality control experience with experience pulling and analyzing large sets of data
- Demonstrated experience using data to drive root cause elimination and process improvement
- Fluency in Portuguese or Spanish languages is an advantage
