Amazon is looking for a Manager III, Program Management to join the NACF-Central Flow team, specifically to join Central Dock. The Manager III, Program Manager has complete responsibility for Post-Slam operations within a shift for the Central Dock team, as well as emerging pilots and initiatives within the ARS Ship Dock network. This position requires a candidate with the proven ability to drive process improvements and the ability to keep pace with our explosive growth while motivating others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline-driven environment.
This high-visibility role will be responsible for a subset of Fulfillment Center (FC) Post-SLAM DEA performance, revising/surfacing business metrics in an intuitive and actionable manner, exposing opportunities to reduce variation or complexity across the network, and supporting cross-functional process/software improvements.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead the Central Dock team by managing Hourly Ship Clerks who directly report to Area Managers I & II.
- Create and solve difficult business problems. Think big, develop and nurture new ideas, but apply high standards to weed out ideas that are less impactful.
- Collaborate and influence team members. Work with development teams and present projects to senior leadership on a regular basis.
- Partner to build and execute on new initiatives and roadmaps each year.
- Compile, manage, and report on weekly project metrics and be responsible to lead many high-profile meetings to align on project requirements.
- Build relationships and identify with stakeholders across the organization.
- Work in ambiguous environments and lead other teams without line of sight to a clear solution in the short term.
- Leverage data analytics to isolate and justify initiatives worth investing business resources.
About the team
The Central Flow Team supports North America Customer Fulfillment and is responsible for managing the workflow of customer orders across multiple shipping processes. We focus on managing customer experience while minimizing fulfillment cost. The primary goal of the team is to execute efficient and effective workflow management through partnership with site leaders. Additionally, Central Flow supports innovation in fulfillment to drive the business forward and is a conduit to channel best practices across the network for real-time process improvement, supporting network wide initiatives at the speed the business requires. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 5 years of team management experience
- 5 years of cross functional project delivery experience
- 5 years of program or project management experience
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Bachelor's degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
- Knowledge of SQL
