What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Coordinator position at Ambassador Health of Nebraska City?
The primary purpose of your job position is to participate in the day-to-day administrative needs of the facility as required in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, to assure that proper administrative procedures are maintained at all times.
- Develop and maintain a good working rapport and communication process with inter-facility personnel to assure that administrative services and activities can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the facility.
- Release information in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Interpret the facilities polices/procedures to personnel, residents, family members, visitors, etc.
- Assist in developing, implementing and coordinating administrative policies, procedure manuals, job descriptions, etc.
- Assist in coordinating and planning activities of the facility.
- Assist in determining office personnel, supervising employee performance and making recommendations concerning wage and salary adjustments, hiring, terminations, transfers, etc.
- Assist in solving administrative problems that may arise.
- Assist in the hiring process, background checks, new employee orientation, onboarding and employee retention.
- Ensure that the employee anniversary recognition and quarterly recognition program is kept current.
- Ensure that employees complete their annual educational and competency requirements and maintain active license(s).
- Maintain an understanding of the facilities Personnel Handbook policies and procedures.
- Maintain HR personnel and medical file in accordance with regulations.
- Maintain Resident EHR in accordance with regulations including filing and retrieving of medical records to compliance checks, insurance authorizations and long term care insurance monthly filing.
- Review discharge and death records as well as records on he nursing units.
- Ensure that incomplete records/charts are returned to nursing service for correction.
- Ensure records are assembled, signed, etc. prior to filing.
- Ensure that registries are properly maintained for admission and discharge of residents.
- Assume the authority, responsibility and accountability of the medical record.
- Participate on facility committees, meet annual goals and collect, prepare requested records for meetings and attend meetings as directed.
