Job Description
Position Title: Accounting Coordinator
Reports to: Finance Director
Position Statement:
The Accounting Coordinator's responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, and maintaining accounts payable and receivable documentation. They will also be assisting the Finance Director as needed and responding to information requests by management and for auditing purposes.
The Accounting Coordinator must be able to accurately maintain a general ledger and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). They also must have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. They must also be proficient in all features of Excel and knowledgeable in various Computer software programs.
Responsibilities:
Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes.
Contributing to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
Maintaining documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and banking, and conducting internal audits.
Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits.
Assists with facilitating coupons for community members on an as needed basis, coding and processing of invoices, reconciliation of credit card and bank statements.
Maintains and monitors all insurance certificates to verify that they are up to date and current. This shall include an annual communication to all vendors to update their insurance certificates for the AIP.CA.
Assists in processing of payments for and relating to construction damage deposit, impact fees, kayak slip rentals, and forbearance agreements.
Oversees the contractor renewal spreadsheet.
Provides spreadsheet reports for AIPCA Board of Directors and Committees. This shall also include providing all reports needed for the Annual and Election Meetings as well as any mailings
Other duties as assigned by Finance Director.
Background and drug screen required.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
