Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to efficiently move products throughout the facility. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving processes, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting and order picking tasks.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers and clamp trucks, to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Perform order picking tasks accurately using RF scanners to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
- Assist in shipping and receiving activities, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve overall efficiency in warehouse operations.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with order picking processes and shipping/receiving procedures is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
- Knowledge of safety standards, particularly OSHA regulations related to material handling equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
