Accounts Payable Clerk Job Purpose
American Copper & Brass, LLC is a recognized leader in the plumbing and heating distribution business. Recognized by our growing customer base and our vendors. Our geographic thrust is primarily the Midwest and Eastern States with locations in Michigan, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Orlando.
We are looking for a dependable and precise professional to help maintain our accounting department.
We are looking for a reliable and precise professional to help maintain our payable information. The Accounts Payable Clerk will maintain current accounts. This candidate will analyze expense reports and assign payments to proper cost centers, work with vendors to resolve past due invoices and inaccurate invoices.
Responsibilities and Duties
- · Work with management on a daily basis with payment schedules
- · Maintain all outgoing disbursements
- · Keep track of credits owed to the company and ensure all credits are properly applied to vendor payments.
- · Create/ Reconcile payable reports each month to confirm that all amounts paid were accurate.
- · File management and maintenance
- · Manage inbound calls
- · Other duties when needed
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline preferred
- 2 years’ experience in accounts payable
Technical and/or Administrative Skill
- Sage experience preferred
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
- Internet research
- Strong Organizational Skills
- Attention to detail
- Effective corporate communication skills
- Ability to consistently meet all deadlines
