JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an Operations Manager to join The American International Family of Brands! This leadership role is critical to executing our mission of delivering exceptional value to the customers and industries we serve. You will drive business objectives while fostering a culture of engagement, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across teams.
As Operations Manager, you will oversee the customer service team, working closely with the Customer Service Manager to ensure seamless daily operations, proactively address challenges, and implement strategies to enhance team performance, engagement, and professional growth. Additionally, you will collaborate across all supply chain departments, sales team & warehouse leadership to optimize organizational processes, identify opportunities for greater efficiency, and drive long-term operational success.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Operations Manager your duties will include but not limited to:
- Leadership & Team Management: Helping Lead and mentor a diverse & provide direct oversight to the customer service department of 7-8 employees.
- Performance Optimization: Drive operational excellence by supporting and holding team members accountable for performance targets; provide coaching as needed.Monitoring progress, and analyzing key metrics to ensure business objectives are met.
- Client Satisfaction: Focus on improving customer experiences through the implementation of best practices, addressing internal personnel problems & customer issues, and ensuring our standard of excellent service is upheld.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic plans that align with company goals. Adapt strategies as needed to respond to evolving market conditions and business needs.
- Analytical Insights: Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Employee Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive work culture that emphasizes employee satisfaction, motivation, and retention. Address and resolve any workplace issues promptly and effectively.
- Staffing & HR: Assisting human resources with the recruiting process; taking part in the interview process to ensure the "Grade A" candidates are selected for various roles within operations. Escalating internal personnel issues to be handled timely & efficiently.
- All other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- ·Experience: 5 years in a Leadership role managing both administrative supply chain teams and warehouse distribution operations. (Experience in Food & beverage, 3PL Logistics, Warehousing & Distribution preferred)
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven track record of driving performance and achieving business goals.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, with a focus on employee engagement and personal/professional development.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting strategies and approaches to meet changing business needs.
- Client-Centric: Deep commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction and delivering exceptional service.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and external customer and vendors.
