The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to join our Warehouse Department in Channelview, TX. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient operation of warehouse activities, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and maintaining a safe and compliant workspace. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, lead a team of warehouse staff, and collaborate with other departments to meet business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products.
- Manage inventory control systems to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
- Coordinate and monitor inbound and outbound shipments to meet delivery timelines.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
- Lead and train warehouse staff to achieve high performance and maintain a positive team environment.
- Develop and implement processes to improve warehouse efficiency and reduce costs.
- Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment and ensure a clean, organized workspace.
- Collaborate with the logistics and procurement teams to optimize supply chain operations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to warehouse activities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
- 3 years of warehouse supervision or related experience, preferably in the oil and gas or industrial equipment industry.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations, inventory management systems, and best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with warehouse management software (e.g., SAP, WMS).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials, operate warehouse equipment, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
