Salary: $60K - $80K Annually; Based Upon Prior Experience
Qualifications of the Director of Admissions:
- Must have current experience as a Director of Admissions in long-term care
- Must have long-term care experience
- Must have a strong admissions background and knowledge of admissions processes
- Proven management & leadership skills
- Excellent written & verbal skills
Responsibilities of the Director of Admissions:
- Actively build relationships with hospitals, discharge planners, community organizations, and other referral sources to generate leads.
- Screen potential residents based on medical needs, financial status, and facility capacity.
- Stay updated on all federal and state regulations regarding admissions and resident care.
- Track and analyze admissions data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide training and development opportunities for the admissions team on best practices and sales techniques.
- Ability to explain admission procedures, including necessary paperwork, insurance verification, and required documentation.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure appropriate care plans are developed for incoming residents.
