About the Role:
Are you an experienced mortgage professional looking to take your career to the next level? American Mortgage Bank is seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Processor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for communicating with borrowers, gathering conditions, and ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate. You will also collaborate closely with our underwriting team, manage deadlines, and track post-underwriting turn times to support a seamless loan process from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for borrowers to request and gather necessary conditions.
- Review and validate borrower documentation, ensuring all required items are collected.
- Complete verifications of employment (VOEs) and other required verifications according to policy.
- Work in partnership with underwriting to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Manage loan files to ensure all deadlines and closing dates are met.
- Proactively monitor and prioritize post-underwriting turn times to meet service level agreements.
- Maintain consistent communication with borrowers, loan officers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in mortgage processing or a related role is required.
- Strong understanding of mortgage documentation, verifications, and industry terminology.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with borrowers in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in loan origination software and basic computer applications.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
