Position Overview:
The Vice President, Development Accounting will oversee all development accounting processes for the entire portfolio of projects including data center, residential and other development projects. This role is critical to our evolving business model, focusing on large, sophisticated development projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex development accounting functions, overseeing compliance requirements, and working within a high-performance development environment. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. The individual will interact with all internal or external stakeholders including all AREP departments, attorneys, consultants, capital partners, tenants, contractors, and other project stakeholders as necessary.
Overall Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee development accounting processes for large-scale data center projects within PowerHouse Data Centers along with residential and other development projects.
- Ensure compliance with lender requirements, including managing construction lender draw requests.
- Review, interpret, and follow legal documents, ensuring alignment with accounting and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with construction and project management teams to ensure financial milestones are met.
- Provide strategic financial insights to the C-suite to support business growth and risk management.
- Mentor and oversee development accounting team members, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all reporting.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to streamline accounting processes and controls.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
