Job Title: Quality Inspector
Department: Quality
Summary Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Completing in process measurements and recording results.
- Visual inspects painted parts for acceptance to customer quality requirements on all conversion lines.
- Selects products for testing at specified stages of the Painting and Conversion Coating processes; testing is conducted on product and/or approved samples. These tests include: Temperature, Paint Thickness, Paint Adhesion, Concentration Testing, Titration Testing, and P.H Testing.
- Verification that all proper paperwork and documentation is present at workstations.
- Reads blueprints to determine specifications and tolerances for a variety of machined components
- Utilizes a wide variety of inspection tools to complete dimensional reports.
- Ensures that containment activities take place when discrepancies are identified.
- Review and refine data collection requirements according to customer drawings, models, work orders, purchase orders, sketches and PPAP requirements.
- Participates in Gage R & R Studies.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
