The AWM will lead the team with operational excellence, driving superior customer service and consistently surpassing competitive benchmarks. They will focus on continuous improvement of fulfillment and shipping processes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities: 

• Manage shipping department and staff to ensure all orders are processed on time and meet customer requirements.
•  Ensure daily department staffing levels are acceptable for workload and schedule.
• Lead by example, maintain a positive and optimistic demeanor.
• Participate in new employee interviews and onboarding process.
• Participate in supervisor reviews with Warehouse Manager.
• Investigate internal material issues working with the different departments to provide corrective action and process improvements.
• Monitor/Maintain department metrics and review with Warehouse Manager.
• Ensure daily building safety.
• Coordinate equipment requests/repairs and PM’s with Warehouse Manager
• Knowledge of contacts for property management or vendor services.
• Participate in monthly supervisor meetings.
• Assist in all full physical inventories, QC concerns and safety issues.
• Delegate department supervisors to maintain warehouse organization & cleanliness.
• Evaluate supplies for adequate levels, pallets, shrink wrap.
• Coordinate and assist with emergency shipments.
• Set the example in communication and appearance for the facility staff.
• Coordinate daily hours with Warehouse Manager to ensure the facility is properly monitored from beginning to the end of the day.
• Ability to load trucks and pull orders when necessary.
• Point of contact for all project related issues/questions.
• Work closely with Order Expediter to ensure orders are picked and shipped in accordance to ship dates.
• Ensure safe operations by implementing proper warehouse procedures and policies.
• Ensure effective and safe use of all warehouse machinery.
• Assist in other duties as communicated with Warehouse Manager.

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations or shipping/receiving, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage teams, delegate tasks, and maintain a positive, efficient work environment.
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and inventory control.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues, implement corrective actions, and improve processes.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience collaborating across departments and ensuring clear communication.
• Ability to work hands-on when needed, including loading trucks and pulling orders, and manage emergency shipments.
