We are seeking a Freight Coordinator to join AmeriQual freight division! In this role, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating our transportation operations. Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilize industry and market knowledge to successfully negotiate pricing agreements with carriers to maximize profitability and ensure adequate capacity levels
- Create loads, set appointments, dispatches, track and trace loads, root cause, problem-solving, and resolve/communicate to carrier and/or customer as appropriate
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with a high volume of calls/ emails
- Ensure compliance with all applicable freight laws and regulations
- Perform data entry tasks to accurately record shipment details and maintain up-to-date records
- Observe and understand fluctuating rate markets/trends and quickly adapt to new situations
- Maintain strong relationships with multiple carriers
- Work with management, customers, and vendors to resolve any transportation issues
- Other duties as assigned
