About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Director to lead our Plant(s) in achieving and surpassing sales, profitability, cash flow, yield, specification metrics, business goals, and objectives. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, managing performance, and providing input to local teams and Region Vice President Stock Yards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute operational plans that align with company strategies and policies.
- Collaborate with Area and Region leadership to drive growth in local markets and regional chain account opportunities.
- Promote operational excellence through productivity improvement, equipment utilization, and execution according to company guidelines.
- Maintain accurate financial reports and achieve Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets.
- Foster a high-performance management team through recruitment, mentoring, and coaching.
- Represent the company with customers, employees, the community, and business partners.
Requirements
- Broad experience in plant management and operations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Able to work effectively with various governing agencies and external stakeholders.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
