We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role is essential to ensuring accurate financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and maintaining general ledger integrity. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of GAAP, and an eagerness to support various accounting functions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Assist in maintaining the general ledger by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and ensuring accurate coding of transactions.
- Month-End Close: Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, and financial statement preparation.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable Support: Assist in processing AP and AR, including reviewing and verifying invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and following up on outstanding receivables.
- Expense Reporting: Review, verify, and process employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Financial Reporting: Assist with preparing monthly financial reports and supporting schedules as needed.
- Audit Support: Prepare schedules and documentation for internal and external audits, and respond to auditor inquiries.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement: Participate in identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-3 years of accounting experience, ideally within a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience in financial functions, formulas, and data analysis.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
