Work Responsibility:
A.) Assist community members to apply online housing programs including:
Common Housing Application for Mass Programs (CHAMP)
Section 8
Project-Based Rental Assistance (PBRA)
Mass Rental Voucher Program (MRVP)
Alternative Housing Voucher Program (AHVP)
B.) Assist community members to apply online public benefits programs including:
SNAP
WIC
RAFT
Fuel Assistance
EAEDC
TAFDC
SSI
MassHealth
Assurance Free Phones
Mass ID/Drivers’ License, Birth Certificate or Social Security Card
C.) Assist community members to manage and/or seal CORI
D.) Refer community members to mental health services, detox facilities, halfway houses, Methadone/Suboxone clinics, recovery coaches
E.) Assist community members on resume and job search
F.) Hire, train, and supervise 5-10 college caseworker interns: review their casenotes and write up recommendations on their case management directions
Work Qualifications:
A.) Spanish-proficiency is a must. Excellent in English for speaking, reading and writing
B.) Ability to learn and adapt to a precision-focused working environment
C.) Familiarity with online applications for public housing, and public benefits programs
D.) Ability to relate, inspire and supervise college interns to become competent caseworkers
E.) Being super punctual, dependable, organized and with great attention to details
F.) With strong command in technology, writing and speaking
G.) Being excellent in using Google Workspace: Google Suites and Apps
a I.) Minimum 2 years in case management
K.) With excellent writing skills, being technology savvy, ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
