Job Overview
Role & Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with the culinary team to execute goals and targets
· Ensure adherence to the client strategy and vision, project permitting
· Support menu ideation, recipe development, workshops, and presentations
· Explore and experiment with new culinary trends/techniques
· Ensure culinary creativity meets operational and financial goals
· Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (Sales, Co-packing, etc.) to ensure information is generated accurately and meet deadlines
· Partner with Sourcing and client Procurement to find new products and ingredients
· Work with manufacturing partners to understand capabilities
· Create a library of recipes and designs that can be used across customers, including recipes and photos
Qualifications:
· Proven experience with menu design or similar role
· Experience with global cuisine types
· Strong teamwork and management skills
· In-depth knowledge of culinary trends and menu development
· Ability to charismatically convey menu design concepts to large and small groups
· Ability to multi-task and lead projects simultaneously
· Strong adherence to deadlines and meeting client expectations
· Knowledge of airline food and beverage operations is highly preferred
· Knowledge of large-scale manufacturing is highly preferred
· Travel (domestic and international) may be required 30% of the time
Education & Experience:
· Degree in Culinary Arts or relevant field required
· 2-3 years of experience as a Design Chef, in recipe development or similar role
· Financial and Managerial experience preferred
