Job Purpose
The RSM Irrigation is responsible to manage and grow our Irrigation based business within the Amiad Irrigation sales team within the defined territory. The primary responsible is to direct the sales efforts of irrigation reps, irrigation distributors and OEM accounts for Amiad Water Systems’ products. This position is also required to identify and qualify, appropriate market segments and their distribution channels to grow and expand Amiad’s existing business. There are no supervisory responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Territory is geographically defined as the states of Southern California, Las Vegas, Arizona. Market segment is defined as Irrigation in the Agricultural and Landscape segments.
- Work with sales leadership to develop and execute growth plans for key accounts that are linked to the organization’s market objectives and strategies
- Primary focus will be identifying top 10 key accounts, identifying key influencers key products to grow each key account business
- Establish key, measurable activities to increase Amiad relationship with Key Accounts, marketing training and any other agreeable actions.
- Work with independent reps firms and establish key accounts with them, and define activities that will grow the landscape segment.
- Consistently identify new business opportunities for specified technology at existing and potential customers
- Prepare budgetary quotations and equipment proposals as necessary
- Identify and develop relationships with key decision makers, uncover new business opportunities, recommend differentiated solutions and communicate successful strategies
- Create positive and productive business relations with the Company appointed independent sales organizations, OEM accounts, and engineering firms
- Provide product training and sales presentations to the Company independent sales rep/distributors, engineering firms, and other customers
- Gain a thorough knowledge of competitors, their products, and activities
- Participate in establishing expense budgets for the territory
- Establish sales goals for the independent sales rep companies and distributors
- Prepare monthly sales forecast
- Continuously review status of outstanding proposals with distributors and OEM accounts
- Handle customer inquiries as needed in a timely, courteous, and professional manner
- Actively search for improvements in the selling process for cost reduction, improved efficiencies, and higher safety and quality
- Work closely with and supervise activities of inside sales team member assigned to territory
- Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure correct system design and functionality
- Interface extensively with all functional departments within AUSA
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline and/or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years in a similar sales role
- Strong communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with customers as well as at all levels of the organization
- Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities to meet required deadlines
- Software applications - Competence with MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (MS Office)
- Consistently show patience and courtesy to customers; diplomacy and ability to resolve sales and equipment related problems
- Effectively integrate into and work within a team environment
- Prefer experience with water systems that utilize pumps and valves
- Need to be able to work independently yet work and contribute positively to the Irrigation team.

Work Environment
- Work directly with US Director of sales, which operates under the direction Amiad Israel international group
- Manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to noise, grinding, vapor, dust, and lubricants
- Routinely required to use standard office equipment and expected to be proficient with a variety of computer programs, including MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
- Must adhere to Company safety policies
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, crouch (bend at the knees), reach, stoop (bend at the waist), kneel, grasp, see, talk, hear and use hands to operate office equipment
- May occasionally lift or move office products and supplies typically 10-30 pounds but up to 50 pounds
- Adjustment to time changes when traveling between different time zones
Travel
- Minimum of 50% travel is required for this position
