SUMMARY:
AMKUS Rescue Systems is seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineer to drive operational
excellence and advance our manufacturing capabilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to):
• Collaborate with Quality, Assembly and Service Department personnel to solve
manufacturing challenges and identify best practices.
• Organize and perform preventative maintenance of facility assets.
• Direct ISO quality assurance and control management processes and procedures.
• Integrate quality improvements into enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
• Draft, proofread, and train assembly staff on technical product documentation, product
manuals, assembly instructions and test instructions.
• Recommend and physically implement changes to the production line, product design,
and operational processes for continual improvement.
• Utilize SOLIDWORKS computerized aided design software to create tooling, fixtures, and
support new product design activities.
• Analyze new product design concepts for manufacturing, assembly, and reliability.
• Test, evaluate, and document product designs per NFPA, ASTM, IEC and standards.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
To be successful in this position, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily. The requirements listed in this document are representative of the

• Bachelor’s degree of Science in Industrial Manufacturing, Engineering or related discipline
from an accredited college or university.
• At least 2 years of experience in process improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma.
• Excellent problem-solving skills through the use of quality and statistical tools.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, Microsoft Office Suite and Infor ERP System.
• Competency with typical laboratory test instrumentation.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of testing and certification procedures.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing techniques, machining, molding, and assembly.
• Ability to read, interpret, and generate detailed prints, sketches, layouts and specifications
• Solid data analysis and technical report writing skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to solve problems and think analytically
DIFFICULTY OF WORK AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment conditions described are representative of those an employee
encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
Duties and responsibilities of this role are performed in a manufacturing environment with team
members. Exposed to noise and heavy machinery normally associated with manufacturing
operations, where safety precautions must be always followed to avoid injury to self and
others. Duties involve close vision, standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying,
grasping and handling objects with fingers.
