As an Amphenol Industrial Products Group (AIPG) Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for promoting the entire Amphenol Industrial product line and promoting our global manufacturing capabilities and unique processes that support connector value add.  The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high technology, manufacturing environment and works well in a matrix structure across all levels of the organization. Will report to the Western Regional Sales Manager. COMPANY INTRODUCTION The Amphenol High Technology Industrial (AHTI)  a division of Amphenol Corporation, is the leading manufacturer of cylindrical connectors in the world.  Amphenol Industrial's product lines consist of rectangular, standard miniature, fiber optic, EMI/EMP filter, and a variety of special application connectors.  Our manufacturing capabilities include state-of-the art CNC machining, die-casting, molding, impact and extruding, plating, screw machining and process controls.  Manufacturing connectors since 1932, we take pride that AHTI is the undisputed leader in interconnect systems for harsh environment applications.   Amphenol offers a competitive salary and benefits. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include identification of new account and program opportunities, setting of account objectives, establishment of print position, and coordination of selling strategies, coordination of selling activity with OEM sales force, monthly reviews with management, forecasting and additional exempt duties as required. Grow customer base OEM orders year on year target minimum 10%; Create demand by developing and getting print position on new designs; build a project pipeline of new customer opportunities to support future growth; Identify new technologies and acquisitions to supplement organic growth. Identification of business potential within Sales Territory One year billing and booking forecast at accounts to include sales penetration of that potential. Coordination with product groups to establish objectives and strategies to meet forecast. Establish individual account objectives to include product callouts and order budgets. Submit six month booking forecast of accounts to Regional Sales Manager with ±15% accuracy. Identification of decision makers at accounts and coordination of activity through them Communication with responsible business units as required QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Business Administration, Engineering, or Marketing) Plus 2-4 years directly related experience. The ability to represent the operation in a professional manner at the assigned accounts and the ability to coordinate sales through the selling organization.
