Senior Revenue Accountant

Responsibilities (Include, but are not limited to):

• Book monthly oil, gas and natural gas liquids sales for Texas, Wyoming, and Colorado operated and non-operated properties
• Prepare, report, and pay monthly various state taxes
• Prepare and execute the monthly close process
• Monitor wellhead and pipeline imbalances
• Compare purchaser statements to Amplify Energy meter statements
• Compare sales prices to gas contract prices
• Respond to royalty owner inquiries
• Record adjustments to owners/wells as needed due to revenue DOI updates
• Work with Land department to correct/clear owner suspense accounts
• Work with Land department to ensure revenue decks are set up correctly to minimize subsequent reversals and rebookings
• Work with purchasers to gain monthly information in a timely manner
• Monthly revenue-related account reconciliations
• Supply information to other departments as needed
• Respond to 1099 inquiries
• Special projects as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• 5-10 years oil and gas accounting experience with industry knowledge and terminology
• Oil & Gas revenue or production accounting experience
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and interact effectively with others in a team environment
• Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written)
• Strong Excel skills
• Problem solving and analytical thinking as necessary to accomplish accounting objectives
• Fluctuations in workloads may require some overtime

• CPA – a plus
