- Analyze drawings and specifications with precision and attention to detail.
- Understand contractual terms and conditions to ensure accurate estimate creation.
- Issue intelligent and perceptive RFIs that address project-specific concerns.
- Perform quantity take-offs for piping systems and mechanical equipment, including industrial piping and mechanical systems.
- Assemble accurate and well-organized estimates in a timely manner.
- Organize subcontractor and vendor quotations to ensure quotes meet contract documents.
- Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and clients through effective communication.
- Prepare, coordinate, and evaluate subcontractor bid packages to optimize project outcomes.
- Compile material and labor costing information for the company's historical database.
- Develop cost breakdowns from estimates for project managers' pre-construction budgeting.
- Attend pre-bid walk-thrus periodically to stay informed about project developments.
