QA API Test Engineer

Must HAVE
Strong in API, SQL and Postman.
Able to teach others API components like POSTMAN.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to get into the weeds to figure out and fix issues.
ETL experience
Understanding of API concepts – Rest APIs, API Verbs, API Security, Error Codes
Required Skills:
All aspects of QA in Agile, waterfall and hybrid methodology - 7 years of experience
· Advanced level SQL skills (ability to write complex queries)
· Understanding of API concepts – Rest APIs, SOAPUI, API Verbs, API Security, Error Codes
· Familiar with Postman – API Testing, Building test scripts
· Understand the concepts of End to End testing
· Ability to read, understand and change JSON files, headers, params as per the action
· Strong knowledge of Database and SQL queries for data validation
· Knowledge of Anypoint Platform Exchange is a plus
· Ability to understand the functionality that the API is designed for
· Experience with cucumber or rspec is preferable, but not required
· Experience with UX procedures and usage
· Hands on experience with any automation testing tools
· Strong analysis and follow up skills are a MUST
Understanding of End to End and UX testing
Ability to create test plans and test scenarios
Experience with building automation framework for API/Web
EDUCATON and/or EXPERIENCE:
BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or relevant experience.
5 years’ QA-based testing experience (functional and regression testing)
3 years as an API tester using postman
5 years relational databases experience with (Oracle, MS SQL, or MySQL).
