Amwins is seeking unique and collaborative individuals to join our lively Client Services Cancellations Team. These individuals will be given the opportunity to learn and develop various skills that will assist the Amwins Client Services Team throughout the fast-paced Cancellations process.
- The Cancellations team is responsible for receiving and handling requests to terminate an insurance policy before its renewal or expiration date, by either the insured or the carrier.
Each member of the Cancellations Team is a vital part of our success, providing:
Essential Job Functions Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Handles cancellations and reinstatements for policies written with the business type: Wholesale, Program and Binding Authority
- Issues notices for all accounting, finance and underwriting based cancellations/reinstatements
- Coordinate with markets to issue notices and endorsement for all Brokerage policies
- Communicate with retail agents on status of cancellations/reinstatements
- Follow-up on policy payment status with internal accounting department and finance companies.
- Calculate return premium, invoice cancellations through AmLINK and process endorsements through multiple carrier’s website.
- Data entry into multiple internet-based systems
- Use Microsoft Office (i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel)
- Answer incoming calls to the department
- Compensation includes a salary commensurate with experience
- Some position eligible for overtime

- High School Diploma or equivalent with 2-3 years insurance experience or B.A. in Insurance or Risk Management is preferred
- Full understanding and application of concepts, practices and procedures related to insurance
- Strong written/verbal communication and math skills
- Advanced computer skills including typing proficiency, Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on ability to use Outlook and Excel
- Ability to interact/develop relationships at all levels both internally and externally
- Strict attention to detail
- Good organization skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to resolve moderately complex problems while performing under immediate to general supervision
