About the Role
We are building a dedicated team and looking for an HR Specialist to join our growing organization in Elk City, Oklahoma. This is an in-person role ideal for someone who is passionate about people, detail-oriented, and ready to play a vital part in shaping a positive and compliant workplace environment.
As an HR Specialist, you’ll support and enhance various human resource functions including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and more. You’ll work closely with both employees and management to ensure smooth HR operations and a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate recruitment efforts: post job openings, screen resumes, and schedule interviews
- Facilitate the onboarding process, including orientation and new hire paperwork
Employee Relations
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and procedures
- Support conflict resolution, employee counseling, and performance management
HR Administration
- Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems
- Prepare HR-related reports and assist with payroll processing
Compliance & Policy Management
- Ensure company compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
- Assist in developing, implementing, and updating HR policies and procedures
Training & Development
- Coordinate training sessions and professional development opportunities
- Track training progress and collect feedback to improve learning programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- (or equivalent of 4 years of relevant experience)
- Proven experience as an HR Specialist or similar role
- Working knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices
- Proficiency in HR software (e.g., HRIS systems), QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office
- General knowledge of Word, Excel, and relevant industry practices
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- General knowledge of our industries
