Principal Engineer, Design Verification Engineering (Virtual ATE Product Owner)
About Us
The Engineering Enablement team provides industry-leading tools, methodologies, and support to accelerate product development across the company. This position is part of the Systems Verification and Validation (SVV) team within the Engineering Enablement organization in the CTO Office. SVV is responsible for developing, adopting, and supporting tools, methodologies, and solutions across the entire DV landscape - including Unified Metric-Driven Verification (MDV), SystemVerilog (SV)/UVM-based methods, Mixed-Signal DV, Solutions for shifting Post-Si Validation left, Formal Verification, Functional Safety, Security, Portable Stimulus, and Emulation/Prototyping technologies.
The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated lead to join SVV to own the development of an industry-leading, best-in-class, enterprise Virtual ATE Solution and help shift post-si validation left. This person is expected to lead a team and drive solution development from requirements to successful adoption. The candidate is expected to have deep expertise in post-silicon validation (ATE and/or bench) and proven experience in utilizing pre-silicon DV & simulation environments for derisking validation.

Key Responsibilities
- Product owner for virtual test and eval solutions for mixed-signal and digital Application-Specific ICs (ASICs)
- Drive building of automation to translate tester-specific code to tester-agnostic code and vice-versa using scripting languages such as Python or similar
- Act as applications engineer and collaborate with technical experts from cross-functional teams in various technology groups to help deploy virtual test and eval solutions
- Apply virtual test and eval solutions to reduce post-silicon test time
- Apply circuit simulation tools and design verification methods to verify design pre-silicon, particular analog and digital test modes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, with 10 years of relevant experience.
- Deep expertise in various ATE platforms, test program development and optimization with a focus on mixed-signal ASICs
- Proficiency in debugging failures on silicon by working with cross-functional teams such as design, DV, eval
- Strong automation skills using languages like Perl, Python, or similar.
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as AMBA, I2C, SPI, and UART.
- Experience with industry-standard digital simulators (e.g., Cadence Xcelium, Synopsys VCS) and using them pre-silicon to pipe clean test routines
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical details to both peers and product line teams.
