This position provides benefits administration support including plan enrollment, benefits data entry and answering employee benefit inquiries. This is an entry level position which provides support in all aspects of the benefits function for a highly successful professional services firm.Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Benefits Administration: Assists in the administration of the firm’s benefit plans by processing online enrollments and benefit plan changes, answering employee benefit inquires, and reconciling invoices.
- Bi-weekly audit of benefit deduction changes with payroll team
- Leave of Absence Administration: Assist the LOA Specialist with the tracking and documentation of leave of absences.
- HRIS: Data entry for all employee benefit enrollments and life event updates.
- Employee Terminations: Track employee terminations with respect to benefit termination and COBRA notices, including special COBRA instruction for involuntary terminations
- Processes benefit invoices, assist with audits of enrollment and membership listings for all benefit plans and fitness memberships
- Administers company transit and parking plans through WageWorks/Health Equity
- Open Enrollment Support: respond to employee inquiries, assist organization and execution of (with oversight):
- Annual Benefits Fair
- Enrollment audits
- Update key benefit communication materials and new hire presentations
- Wellness Program & Events: In collaboration with other Benefits team members, help organize and facilitate wellness events and programs, coordinate available resources, and propose new and innovative ways to bring healthy programs to the firm; collaborate with other HR teams on social events.
- Provides support for projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year or equivalent of relevant substantive experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. Preferred concentration in Business Administration or Human Resources Administration.
- An ideal candidate has 1-3 years of post-undergraduate work experience. Strong PC capability (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Experience with HR Information Systems, specifically Workday, preferred.
- Excellent written/oral communications skills.
- Team player, willingness to assist other members of the HR team when needed
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Works well independently and within a team.
- An inclusive and growth-oriented mindset, strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.
