Job Function:
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for ensuring that all HR-related policies and procedures comply with standard legal practices. They create onboarding plans for new hires to educate them on company guidelines and the internal operations of their department or office. The HR Generalist is also responsible for enhancing department functions by planning, implementing, and developing training, onboarding, and employee orientation programs, the administration of employee benefits, maintaining employee handbook and HR procedures manual, and answering employee questions regarding pay, benefits, policies and procedures.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Ø Manage multiple hiring platforms and social media posts regarding employment opportunities, attend job-fairs and seek out community engagement opportunities for recruitment.
Ø Travel between sites as necessary for support
Ø Initiate creative recruitment efforts and strategies to build a source of applicants for the organization.
Ø Manage the recruitment and interview process. Posts positions, tracks status of candidates and manages candidate correspondence, schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the HR Director.
Ø Onboarding of new hires including technology requests, paperwork completion and preparation of materials.
Ø Submits the online investigation and drug test requests for new hire background check and testing requirements.
Ø Creation and maintenance of employee files including tracking of all required documentation and filing into appropriate employee files.
Ø Manage the offboarding administrative process for employees.
Ø Assists with the preparation and implementation of performance review process including creation of tracking and collection of and recording of all completed reviews.
Ø Verifies I-9 documentation via E-Verify and UKG
Ø Creation, submission and tracking of Status Change requests. Act as a back-up for payroll processing.
Ø Completion of all verifications of employment, Medicare documentation, and unemployment requests.
Ø Assists with company team member recognition programs including soliciting nominations, tracking submissions, milestone anniversaries, advertising various recognition processes and planning events.
Ø Update and create SOPs as needed for HR processes.
Ø Assist in benefit plan administration and maintain benefit invoicing, benefit milestones, new hire benefit education, benefit audits and offboarding of benefits.
Ø Member of the safety committee and assist with events as needed.
Ø Other duties and projects as needed.
