What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector position at Anchor Sandblasting and Coatings?
JOB SUMMARY:
This Job description reports to the Quality Control Manager
Inspect and report on all work assigned to ensure conformance with contract requirements, good painting practice and internal QC procedures.
Ensure proper inspection forms and recording procedures are used for job quality monitoring.
Implement and follow corrective action program and follow inspection and test plans.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Complete inspection reports daily for every project assigned
- Ensure inspection equipment utilized is calibrated and operating correctly
- Ensure that nonconforming work and rework is properly documented
- Implement inspection test plans as provided
- Carry out company corrective action program procedures when applicable
- Complete miscellaneous assignments and projects as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires a minimum NACE CIP Level 2 Inspector Certification or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of full-time field experience in Industrial/Marine Coatings field
- Ability to enter confined spaces and crawl through cargo / ballast tanks for extended periods of time
- Work on staging or in a boom lift safely
- Working knowledge of TrueQC programs preferred
- Microsoft Suite Experience
