Synergy Health Laboratories is a local startup and industry leading manufacturer of vitamins, herbal extracts and health and wellness supplements. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team. As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and consistency. Your role will involve conducting tests, analyzing data, and providing feedback to the quality control and production teams to ensure that products are manufactured to company specifications.
QC Technician Overview
Monitor, inspect, and evaluate the day-to-day operational processes and activities employed to produce our products to ensure quality standards are met.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct initial quality inspections promptly at the start of production
- Complete finished product inspections and document quality assessments
- Perform routine inspections and quality tests, including pre-shipment QC
- Identify issues and potential issues in the production of our products
- Ensure that standards and safety regulations are observed
- Contribute to developing quality standards
- Address and discuss issues and proposed solutions with cross-functional teams
- Implement quality assurance policies and procedures
- Make recommendations for process improvements and training initiatives
- Confirm QC checks are completed by the production department
- Perform verifications for bulk material weighing and blending processes
- Compare raw materials with specifications and assess inventory release status
- Fill out and verify pallet reconciliation sheets for shipment preparation
- Carry out inspections for cleanliness and sanitation compliance.
- Any and all other duties as assigned by supervisor
Reporting Relationship
- Reports to QC Supervisor
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of tools, methods and concepts of quality assurance
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Spanish
- Data collection and analysis skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Understanding of safety and quality standards related to manufacturing processes of supplements and vitamins
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs Editor Suite, or related software
Abilities and competencies
To perform the essential functions of the position, the incumbent regularly employs the following competencies: physical and/or sensory abilities and skills.
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
- Must understand and follow all safety and sanitation procedures
- Must be able to properly handle all equipment and report any equipment that is not functioning
Work Schedule
- Full-time schedules.
- Work schedules may vary and could involve day and nighttime hours during the week and on weekends.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
