What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector position at Nesco Resource?
- Perform regular inspections and tests on concrete products, including sampling, testing, and analyzing material properties to ensure compliance with company specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct tests on concrete mixtures, including slump tests, compression tests, air content tests, and temperature measurements.
- Utilize various testing equipment and tools to accurately assess product quality.
- Maintain detailed records of inspection results, test data, and quality control reports.
- Ensure that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and properly filed.
- Ensure that all concrete production processes adhere to company quality standards, safety regulations, and relevant industry codes.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with quality control protocols.
- Identify and investigate quality issues or deviations in concrete products.
- Work with production teams to diagnose problems, recommend corrective actions, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality control procedures and best practices.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
- Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Ensure that team members understand and adhere to quality standards.
- Serve as a liaison between quality control and production teams.
- Communicate quality issues, test results, and recommendations to management and other stakeholders.
- Adhere to and promote safety protocols and practices in all aspects of the job.
- Ensure that all quality control activities are conducted in a safe and compliant manner.
Computer literacy (Windows - Word & Excel).
Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes.
Previous experience in construction and/or FDOT.
Good verbal and written skills.
ACI And/or PCI Certified (Preferred But Not Required).
