Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians and veterinary technicians in delivering high-quality care to our animal patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for quality animal health care and possess the skills necessary to assist in various veterinary procedures and client interactions efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarian during examinations and medical procedures.
- Provide care for animals, including feeding, cleaning and walking outside.
- Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian.
- Prepare animals for surgery, including animal restraint and catheterization.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilization of instruments and inventory control.
- Record patient histories and maintain accurate electronic medical records with AVImark.
- Educate pet owners on proper pet care and health maintenance.
- Assist with diagnostic procedures such as X-rays and dental cleanings.
- Handle animals safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort during visits.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic is required.
- Knowledge of animal physiology, veterinary terminology, and dental terminology is a plus.
- Skills in animal restraint, dog handling, and basic dog training are beneficial.
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and procedures related to veterinary medicine.

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
