Summary
The Service Coordinator dispatches customer service technicians to install, service, and repair lift trucks, conveyor systems, storage systems, or automated guided vehicle systems.
Responsibilities:
Records customer requests for service, including customer address, contact, phone number, equipment, and type and scope of service to be performed.
Reviews customer requests for service to ascertain cause for service request, type of malfunction, and customer location.
Contacts service technicians to obtain or give information and directions regarding service or installation activities.
Determines and schedules orders according to urgency.
Maintains a safe work area and ensures compliance with safety policies and procedures.
Receives check in calls from service workers by, telephone, or in person.
Informs workers of type and location of work to be performed and dispatches workers to job.
Keeps records of repairs, installation, removal of equipment, and hours required on each job.
Processes and invoices work orders.
Qualifications:
Prior experience using Microsoft Office
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong attention to detail
Strong customer service skills
Ability to multitask.
