The Administrative Assistant at Andover Bank plays a crucial role in supporting the Executive officers, Human Resources, and Retail Banking teams. Key responsibilities include providing accurate and efficient customer service, maintaining knowledge of bank regulations, security, and compliance responsibilities, and performing various administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, printing reports, and answering telephone calls.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
• Regular onsite attendance is essential for this role. The successful candidate will be able to work well with others in a team environment and independently with little direction.
• Provides accurate, efficient, and exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
• Maintains required training courses and stays up-to-date on bank policies and procedures.
• Assists in the retail and Human Resources departments by compiling data for reports using Excel and Word, ordering supplies, and leading the Events committee.
• Prepares correspondence written and electronic, schedules meetings, and coordinates the use of meeting rooms at Headquarters.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, an individual must possess above-average organizational, language, typing (50 words per minute), and computer skills. Proficiency in Microsoft programs, especially Excel and Word, is also necessary. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be extremely confidential and customer service-oriented, and have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Work Environment and Conditions
The work environment is a typical office setting with minimal noise levels. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; or climb; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
