Payroll/HR and Accounts Payable Administrator
Private Country Club in the picturesque town of Andover, Massachusetts, just 20 miles north of Boston is seeking a full-time Payroll/HR and Accounts Payable Administrator.
Reporting to the Controller, the core responsibilities include:
PAYROLL/HR
- Manage all aspects of payroll and group benefits for the club, including collection of time/attendance from departments, update employee information (new hire, termination, garnishments, etc.) and process weekly payroll.
- Review payroll for accuracy including all new employees, pay status changes, PTO, and more before approving final payroll for transmission and distribution.
- Prepare and distribute Manager Reports.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee data. Ensure all company policies and records are maintained in accordance with Federal and State regulations.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits, compensation, and all other employment related inquiries.
- Maintain records, reports, claims and other required documents such as Workers Compensation, FMLA, and ACA, Unemployment.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE:
- Obtain appropriate departmental approval for all vendor invoices and assign expense codes.
- Enter invoices in A/P system on a timely basis and reconcile vendor statements monthly.
- Maintain vendor files and ensure that all Certificates of Insurance and W-9 info is up to date.
- Process weekly check runs and issue manual checks when necessary.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
3 years of payroll experience with Harpers or other web based payroll systems.
Comprehensive knowledge of HR Laws and regulations essential, as well as knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to benefits administration including FMLA, ACA, and Health Care Reform Act.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
This is a full-time exempt position offering competitive salary and benefits.
