What are the responsibilities and job description for the HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST position at Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center?
General Summary of Duties: Provides support to the HR Director as a part of the human resources team. Supports all staff, doctors, and CEO as needed.
Supervision Received: Reports to the HR Director
Supervision Exercised: None
Typical Physical Demands: Frequent sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time. Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard. Frequent phone calls and emails.
Typical Working Conditions: Working in an office environment of an orthopaedic clinic. Sometimes directly with patients. Connects with staff and doctors daily.
Principal Duties:
Responsible for providing administrative support to the HR Director
This includes:
Assisting in payroll
Assisting in the hiring process
Coordinate and manage the orientation of new employees (onboarding) (all applicable paperwork, communication, Eagle testing, and other various tasks)
Manage employee personnel files
Enter employment data into payroll software
Track performance evaluation deadlines for all employees
Keep up with employee morale and retention- brainstorming and various events/drawings for staff.
Eagle compliance program
Sitting in on calls/meetings for our practice as well as USOP
Planning company events, career fairs, and the coordination of hiring and shadowing/career opportunities.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
License, Certifications, or Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: At least 1-3 years of experience in an assistant type role. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Knowledge of HR activities, procedures, and guidelines. Experience working in a clinical office environment is a plus. Ability to communicate clearly and always ask questions. Detail-oriented and organized. Determined with every project assigned. Excellent communication skills.
