About the role
Angi is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager of Technical Accounting to join our growing accounting team. This critical role will be responsible for providing technical accounting expertise, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, and supporting the Company's financial reporting process. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate complex accounting issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
What you'll do
Research and interpret complex accounting guidance (US GAAP, SEC regulations) and apply it to the Company's transactionsProvide technical accounting support on topics including revenue recognition (ASC 606), lease accounting (ASC 842), stock-based compensation (ASC 718), and other complex areasReview contracts and agreements to identify and analyze potential accounting implicationsPrepare and review technical accounting memos and policiesOversee the accounting for stock-based compensation, including determining expense recognition, reviewing award valuations, and reviewing forfeiture ratesReview the monthly preparation of the statement of cash flows, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US GAAP (ASC 230)Lead the implementation of new accounting standards and regulationsCollaborate with the financial reporting team to prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules for 10-K, 10-Q, and other SEC filings, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulationsDevelop and deliver training on technical accounting topicsCollaborate with external auditors on accounting matters and ensure timely completion of auditsParticipate in special projects and ad hoc analyses as neededWho you are
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA certification strongly preferredMinimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in public accounting and / or a combination of public accounting and corporate accountingStrong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal controlsExperience with complex accounting areas, such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, stock-based compensation, and cash flowsExcellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organizationStrong leadership and mentoring skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly ExcelExperience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) a plusWe value diversity

Compensation & Benefits
The salary band for this position rangesfrom $170,000 - $200,000 commensurate with experience and performance.
