Job Title: Support: Bar Back, Busser, Food Runner

Reports To: General Manager/Manager on Duty
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

The Support position assists the Funkatorium Front-of-House operations with scheduled rotating shifts in three positions: 1. Barback- keeping all bar operations running smoothly during service, cleaning, organizing, and restocking. 2. Food Runner- responsible for assisting the kitchen expo and getting food to guests promptly. 3. Busser- responsible for maintaining high standards in the dining room by cleaning, clearing dishes, and sanitizing tables.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Removes plates, utensils, and glassware from the bar as needed.
- Brings bus tub to dish pit and sorting appropriately.
- Sweeps behind the bar as needed.
- Cleans off the bar after guests leave and as needed with either Murphy’s oil or sanitizer.
- Keeps all surfaces behind the bar clean.
- Sprays down floor mats, bar mats, and drains
- Cleans glassware and restocks, always keeping bartenders well-supplied with glassware.
- Assists bartenders as needed.
- Greets guests and seat tables if there is not a host scheduled or if the host is busy.
- Loads, runs and unloads bar dishwasher.
- Changes kegs.
- Carries trash, recycling, and linen bags.
- Empties broken glass bucket.
- Restocks coolers and shelves behind the bar.
- Delivers food to tables.
- Clears, cleans, and sanitizes tables.
- Performs closing duties.
Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma/GED
- Minimum of 1 year in a customer service role preferred.

- The employee will frequently work in an environment with moderate to high noise levels.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods of standing and/or walking. Walking surfaces may be wet and/or slippery.
- Ability to frequently sit, stoop, kneel, crouch.
- Ability to frequently talk, hear, and smell.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs. safely and with proper body mechanics and occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 lbs.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to work effectively in a kitchen environment with fluctuations in temperature and conditions (heat, cold, humidity) for an extended period.
