Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide clear direction and guidance to the maintenance team, ensuring tasks are completed on time and in an efficient and effective manner.
- Mentor and develop maintenance staff, conducting regular performance evaluations and providing opportunities for professional growth.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive maintenance schedules, prioritizing tasks to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Lead efforts to implement preventive maintenance programs, identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Oversee equipment inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs, ensuring compliance with safety, training, and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment history, maintenance schedules, and regulatory documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance-related issues and optimize overall operational efficiency.
- Willing to work extra hours, weekends, holidays, and off shift if the need arises.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong leadership, computer, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and engage team members.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software, CMMS systems, with a focus on driving efficiency, improving equipment reliability and runtime.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in maintenance operations, particularly in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
- Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, and kneel.
- Must be able to operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with arms and hands.
- Must be able to wear appropriate safety equipment including PAPR when required.
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
