Pet Support Services provides help for pet caregivers facing hardships with the goal of keeping families together, even in tough times. Support may include, but is not limited to: email & telephone responses and advice, medical support for owned pets, food and supplies, pet shelter provision, behavior support, vaccines and microchips, free and low-cost spay and neuter, crisis and emergency boarding,
The Pet Support Services Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day to day work of the ARL’s Pet Support Services program and the team is working towards the same goals and objectives and acting as a liaison between the Pet Support Services Manager and other individuals working within the programs.
This position is a hands-on position and is responsible for all procedures, resources and maintaining complete records of all Pet Support Services activities. Incumbent will work extensively with a diverse population of people and animals. This will require regular contact in-person at the ARL’s locations and in the community, via telephone, email, text messaging, and other forms of communications. The Coordinator also works extensively with other programs, staff, and volunteers.

- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent computer skills and software skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in community outreach work (preferred)
