Position Overview :
Ansell Law is seeking a Matrimonial Attorney with at least 3-5 years of experience to join its award-winning Matrimonial Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to) :
Effectively handle family law matters including court appearances, conferences, motion practice, discovery, and settlement negotiations. Able to represent clients in complex family law matters. Receive assignments from multiple partners, effectively prioritize tasks, and manage multiple assignments simultaneously to meet deadlines. Conduct thorough legal research and prepare case strategies to determine the best course of action, tailored to each client’s needs. Attend court, take depositions, and engage in all aspects of Matrimonial Law. Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a respectful manner. Minimum Qualifications :
At least 3 years of experience. Admitted in New Jersey. Must have a Juris Doctor “JD” Degree. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a high-volume caseload. Empathy, professionalism, and the ability to navigate sensitive client matters. Desired Skill and Abilities :
Candidates must possess excellent research skills (LexisNexis, online resources, and hardcover reference materials). Candidate should possess excellent writing skills to draft motions, pleadings, letters, memos, and other legal documents. Experience advising clients in family law matters. Knowledge with IManage Document Management System and Orion Billing Software is a plus. Must be experienced in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.). Must be resourceful, able to work as a team player as well as independently. Physical Requirements :
Must be able to lift 10-20 lbs., sit for extended periods of time, stairs, reach, twist, bend, stretch, climb, walk and / or run. Benefits :
