What You'll Do: We’re looking for a People and Culture Assistant to join our close-knit team and help shape the heart of our company — our people. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Director of People and Culture and be involved in the full employee experience — from recruiting top talent to enhancing employee engagement and supporting our day-to-day HR operations.

Pay: Starting at $25 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Influence P&C/HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives, with a core focus on identifying the best talent to develop and retain within our culture.
- Support the entire lifecycle of P&C/HR functions and processes, including job advertising, candidate recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, employee engagement, benefits administration, and employee development.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and the P&C leadership team to understand and meet their hiring goals and needs.
- Manage high volume recruiting of candidates through various sourcing methods (Rippling, really, LinkedIn, etc).
- Execute recruiting and pipeline plans
- Identify recruiting sources and develop innovative methods to attract diverse talent
- Manage a consistent, high-volume flow of qualified candidates through active and passive sourcing methods
- Conduct candidate reference checks to raise the hiring bar
- Track goals, metrics, and performance of the hiring cycle and communicate status and results
- Propose and implement ongoing innovations and improvements to the recruitment process
- Connect with new hires to ensure a great candidate experience
- Conduct HRIS and Time and Attendance duties as business needs dictate
- Coordinate with operations to manage leave requests, shift swaps, and unexpected absences.
- Monitor real-time adherence to schedules, ensuring agents are available to handle calls as projected.
- Address immediate challenges, such as unexpected call spikes, absenteeism, or technical issues, by reallocating resources or activating on-call staff.
- Perform other P&C/HR related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 3 years of P&C/HR experience, with at least 2 years in recruitment or workforce management
- Experience in a fast-paced, people-driven industry (Customer Service, Answering Service, Contact Center a plus)
- Strong knowledge of P&C/HR principles, practices, and employment laws at the local, state, and federal level
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (We use Rippling!)
- The proven ability to influence and drive change with leaders across the organization, aligning the people strategy with business goals and growth
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including oversight of the recruitment process
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proven skills and success in recruitment, workforce management, employee engagement, and retention
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field (Preferred)
- SHRM Certified Professional (Preferred)
