Antea USA, Inc. (Antea®Group) is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist in Seattle, WA. This position is a full-time role that will be embedded with one of our technology clients, 5 days per week. This assignment is anticipated to last 12 months and could be extended.
As an EHS Specialist, you will be working along with our client’s existing team of environmental, health and safety professionals to provide EHS services, solutions, programs, best practices and technical guidance. Your role will be to ensure compliance with applicable EHS regulations and mitigate EHS risks.
Preference will be given to candidates willing to travel nationally and internationally.
Essential Functions may include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with implementation of EHS training programs to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Assisting with the Global Ergonomics program and relevant assessments, as needed.
- Coordinating EHS incident response and investigations
- Maintaining accurate and organized safety documentation, including incident reports, hazard assessments and H&S audits
- Partnering with management and department leaders to create, review, and enhance safety protocols and procedures.
- Conducting thorough safety audits and risk assessments to identify improvement opportunities and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Staying informed about changes in safety regulations and industry best practices to continuously enhance workplace safety programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, environmental, industrial hygiene, health and safety or relevant fields.
- 2 years of experience in the EHS industry; sampling, managing projects, developing, and implementing EHS management systems.
- Experience in applied EHS compliance management is preferred.
- Must understand OSHA regulations in addition to state-specific regulations and their applicability. Further understanding of additional regulations is a plus (NFPA, DOT / IATA, ANSI).
- Exemplary organizational, written, and verbal communication skills are a must.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Potential employees must be able to satisfactorily complete a background check, pre-employment drug screening (as permitted by law), and baseline physical (safety sensitive roles).

Physical Requirements / Work Environment - Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities, which may include the following:

- Occasional lifting and carrying of low (under 25lbs) to moderate (25-49lbs) weight objects
- Repetitive motions: substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers (including reaching)
- Subject to inside environmental conditions (protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change)
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The hourly range for this position is $38.00 - $47.00. Compensation will vary depending on the applicant’s job-related knowledge and skills, education, and work experience.
