We are seeking an experienced School Social Worker to join our team at one of our partner schools in the Lake Orion, Michigan area.
Responsibilities:
- Provide social work support to general education and special education students as mandated by individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to design and implement individualized programs that address the unique needs of each student.
- Monitor progress towards IEP goals and participate in student IEP meetings.
- Conduct group and individual counseling sessions to promote student success.
- Develop and monitor behavior intervention plans in collaboration with teachers and other support staff.
- Facilitate referrals to community resources to support student success.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
- Valid Social Work license issued in the state of Michigan.
- School Social Work Certificate (SSW-310).
