General Summary
The Crew Member for Back of House is responsible for crucial behind the scene operations of the restaurant. This position is vital to the success of our customer service experience and growth of business and requires the candidate to multi-task, cross-train for multiple stations, and perform a variety of duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Works as a team member with Front of House Crew Members and kitchen staff in maintaining a smooth and efficient operation.
- Responsible for cleaning tables and resetting them for new seating; ensuring tables are set in accordance with company standards and guests achieving a pleasurable dining experience.
- Clears dishes from tables.
- Takes care of trash in front and back of the house.
- Brings dishes and glassware into dish room.
- Mops up spills in front and back of the house.
- Maintains cleanliness of all side stations, responsible for stocking.
- Handles product preparation during opening and closing of the restaurant.
- Has knowledge of and maintains food safety standards.
- Scrapes food product into trash and into garbage cans. Helps dishwasher maintain a clean environment.
- Ensures compliance to standards set by management in stacking and washing of prep containers, dishes, flatware, and glassware while maintaining standards of health, safety, and sanitation.
- Assists other team members with maintenance (side work, opening / closing duties) as needed.
- Assists in maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant / property including disposal of trash and debris from outside parking lot, cleaning windows and other general cleaning requirements assigned by management.
